ABOUT ME
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors(BCACC) with more than 8 years of psychotherapy and clinical counselling experience.
I have a Masters of Science in Counselling Degree. Since 2015, I have been lucky and blessed to call the beautiful Terrace and Northern B.C. my home. I have been working as a registered psychotherapist in Terrace, Kitimat and Kitamaat Village since then.
I have been very fortunate to work closely with the Indigenous and First Nations communities and acknowledge the chance to be working on the traditional territory of the Haisla and Tsimshian First Nations.
Every individual I meet and connect with in my field of work, is a living testament of growth and courage. Foundational to my work is the belief in the resiliency of the human spirit and the power of positive change and transition. Bringing a strength based approach to work, I am currently immersed in Attachment and Integrated Family Services therapy practices.
In addition to offering tools and techniques that assist with nurturing a healthy transformation, my practice revolves around working with parent-child/teen conflict, addressing family of origin issues, developmental and situational traumas, relationship problems and other family related issues. I provide individual counselling to young children and adults for a wide range of issues including grief, trauma, anxiety, depression and life stages.
My approach to therapy is holistic and collective. I believe in working together to help clients discover new and effective ways to cope with their struggles. It is my goal to comprehend every individual from their unique frame of reference, and offer them a custom-made action plan to proactively approach their problems. Us humans need a secure space to support growth and transformation, my practice offers a safe, warm and confidential counselling environment for clients who are seeking the same.
